Wrightsville Beach, NC - Harbor Island Oyster Co., LLC (http://www.harborislandoyster.com) is open for business just as the East Coast is gearing up for another oyster season.  The new North Carolina-based business currently features premium oyster knives, wholesale oyster shuckers, oyster gift buckets, oyster accessories and oyster gloves.

The online-only company features a Signature premium 8-inch oyster knife from Paderno – personalized for every customer.  Tested on dozens of oyster varieties from across North America, the 3-inch stainless steel blade is delicate enough to open small Pacific oysters and sturdy enough to tackle large, stubborn East Coast bivalves.  The hand guard is oversized to help protect hands and features a flat edge to rest the knife on the table.  Customers can choose to engrave each knife with a monogram, commemorative date, favorite saying, address or another special phrase.  Harbor Island Oyster Co. (http://www.harborislandoyster.com) was founded after eating a lot of oysters but never finding the time to find the right shucker - one that would work on all oysters and would make people look good using them.  So we set out to find the perfect knife that would impress the most intense ostreaphile (oyster lover). After we found the perfect knife, we then set about finding a way to personalize each one so there would be no doubt who belongs to our knives at the next oyster roast.  We worked with the best in the business and developed a proprietary process to engrave the knife without affecting its integrity.
