Indie musician embarks on a journey across America to find common perspective about success
Indie Singer/Songwriter JOSHUA embarks on a journey across America to find common perspective about what success means “What does it take to get you where you’re going?”
WHY: Having couch-surfed, floor-hopped, and been homeless at different times himself, JOSHUA intends to bring light to the battles a music industry professional must undergo, offer new perspectives toward the current difficult times in our economy and the industry itself, and contribute to community participation towards solving these problems.
WHERE: The journey begins in Los Angeles, CA and weaves across the United States to New York City. (For the official schedule, visit www.homeontheroadproject.com)
WHEN: August 19 - September 13, 2012
HOW: This project is 100% independently funded and resourced. Outreach is fueled by donations made through the websites www.homeontheroadproject.com and www.listentojoshua.com. Los Angeles-based nonprofit Home and Community, Inc. allows donations made directly on the homepage tax-deductible, and proceeds from a simultaneous indie record release of acoustic music, “ACOUSTICS”
The Home on the Road Project seeks to use music as a vehicle to promote artistic growth, community growth, and to help end homelessness in America, while promoting the idea that anything is possible with passion and commitment.
