Backcountry.com Adds Bikes to the Mix

Until now.

Starting today, Backcountry.com is adding a deep selection of high-end, performance bikes and bike gear to the site. The selection will include bikes, clothing, accessories, components, tools, and racks. Everything a rider wants, a rider can get — for every style of riding from tarmac to trail.

Backcountry.com’s Bike General Manager, Brendan Quirk, was a long-time customer of Backcountry before joining the ranks. Cycling is his passion, and he found himself on the site buying gear for cycling trips and events, but facing rejection when he looked for anything with two wheels and a saddle, or the stuff to build it, ride it, or fix it.

“Backcountry has offered all the staples of the cycling life except for bike gear itself,” said Quirk. “No chains, no tires, no chamois cream, no brake pads. I'm proud to say that the day has come.”
