Priscilla Dames’ Tour Addresses Women Winning Through Conflict

Aug. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Priscilla Dames of Miami will release How to Survive When Your Ship is Sinking at The Professional Women’s International Conference in Chicago, Illinois on August 10-12, 2012.
Priscilla Dames, the founder and CEO of a conflict resolution company, Wingspan Seminars, has dedicated more than 20 years to the community as a business owner, educator, and community activist.   In recent years, the nationally certified crisis trainer and conflict resolution practitioner has provided workshops on topics such as Winning through Conflicts, Sexism and Conflicts and Parenting. Internationally, Dames has also provided sessions to the women of Parliament of Zambia and Transitional Non-Violence to ex- militants in Nigeria, Africa. She was recognized by the Zambian Minister of Education for her efforts.
Her affinity for helping women also led her to found the Wings on Women ( WOW), non-profit organization in 2011. The organization is dedicated to assisting women with developing a safe environment in order to facilitate self development and understand the principles of self empowerment.  Te new component was celebrated by Skydiving for Women’s Issues & the reception to bring attention to problems women face today which remains the organization’s annual signature event. In addition to her work experience, Dames also serves in a number of organizations including serving as the chairperson of the Women’s Business Council of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce.   Ms. Dames has recently been recognized by the Women’s History Coalition with the Woman of Impact Award, which honors women for their significant contributions in Miami-Dade County.  That same day, March 4, 2012 was proclaimed Priscilla Dames Blake Day by Miami Mayor Carlos Gimenez and the County Commissioners.
After the book signing in Chicago, Ms. Dames will travel to Indianapolis, Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale.
