-- The Cavendish London has captured and bottled the spirit of British Food Fortnight with its new London centric drinks menu.
Featuring vodka, gin, vermouth and beers from London, as well as a full range of English wines, the list shows off the best of British drinks producers.
Roy Sommer, food and beverage manager at The Cavendish London, explains: “Local, British sourcing has always been important at the hotel and our chefs work closely with suppliers to show off a seasonally changing British menu in our restaurant Petrichor.
“We’ve worked over the past 9 months to do the same for our drinks list and are excited to now stock spirits from two distilleries located within London’s city limits. We’ve got barley vodka, London dry gin and sloe gin from Sipsmith in Hammersmith and London dry gin, anorganic vodka and an English vermouth from Sacred in Highgate. These sit side by side with beer and lager from London’s Meantime Brewery and five wines, including a sparkling white and rose, from Chapel Down in Kent.”
To celebrate British Food Fortnight, customers booking dinner at Petrichor can enjoy a complimentary glass of Chapel Down English sparkling wine before dinner throughout August. Simply quote ‘British Spirit’ when booking on 020 7930 2111.
