Legal-Island Rate2Donate – Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke Foundation

Aug. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Vanessa Elder, Fundraising Manager for NICHS, was on hand to receive the cheque from Legal-Island staff members, Vanessa Porter, Heather Stewart and Jayne Finlay, which was raised through our Rate2Donate initiative.

As one of our 2012 staff chosen charities, NICHS is a medical charity working for the prevention and alleviation of chest, heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland.  These illnesses account for more than 6,000 deaths every year. NICHS fund programmes of research in our local hospitals and universities into the treatment and prevention of these illnesses. In addition, they provide a broad range of services in every part of Northern Ireland for people affected by stroke, lung disease and heart conditions.

The Rate2Donate ( http://www.legal-island.com/about-us/rate2donate/ ) scheme fulfils our strong company ethos of charity and community relations. After every Legal-Island event, we email all delegates with an evaluation form, asking them to rate the event and our performance on the day. For each form that a delegate completes, we then donate £1 to charity.

We look forward to making further donations later on in the year, when our Season 2 ( http://www.legal-island.com/events/all-events/ ) events get under way.
