Peptides International Appoints New Chief Scientific Officer

Aug. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Peptides International announced today that Dr. Satendra S. Chauhan has been appointed to the position of Chief Scientific Officer, effective immediately.   Dr. Chauhan will have direct responsibility for research and production including peptide design and scale-up activities.  He will report to the company’s President and COO, Dr. Michael Pennington.

Prior to joining Peptides International in 2011, Dr. Chauhan had been employed at Bachem Bioscience where his most recent position was Director of Organic Research Chemistry.

During his career he has had considerable experience in the synthesis, analysis, purification, and structure elucidation of complex organic molecules and peptides.  In commenting on the appointment, Dr. Pennington stated, “Dr. Chauhan’s breadth of technical expertise as well as his management experience and commitment to quality will greatly help Peptides International deliver increasingly complex and high quality peptides, organic molecules, and peptidomimetics to its increasing base of biotech and pharmaceutical customers.”
