Roslyn Savings Bank Division Donates $15,000 for Alzheimer’s Association Long Island's Memory Walk
New York Community Bank’s Roslyn Savings Bank Division, announced today that, for the third year in a row, the bank will make a donation in the amount of $15,000 to Alzheimer Association Long Island’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“My dad had Alzheimer’s disease, so I know firsthand the challenges Long Island families face caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease,” explained Ms. Belling. “On behalf of New York Community Bank, I would like to thank our branch staff for helping to raise money and awareness for this disease.”

Currently 5.4 million people in this country have Alzheimer’s disease and more than 200,000 individuals under the age of 65 have a diagnosis of AD. By the middle of this century, it is estimated that approximately 14 to 16 million people will have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease; 1 out of 8 baby boomers is at risk.
