Aug. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Forbes, the business publication giant, released a study today on standing at work that evaluated various adjustable height desk and standing desk alternatives. The online article gave high marks to an American-made product, the Desktop Elevator, calling it "an office favorite due to its ease of installation and functionality".
Forbes evaluated six sit and stand desks in the article that cited medical study links showing that prolonged sitting increases an individual’s chances of diabetes, heart disease, stroke and earlier death.  The feature refers to the Desktop Elevator as “a product with the ability to seamlessly raise or lower your desktop work surface without replacing the desk”. It was further singled out as “the only full desk add-on” and sums up their appeal in five areas: “value, convenience, adapts to you, made in America and green and maintenance free”. The product review, along with those of the other products evaluated may be seen at:
Manufactured in Georgia under a patent pending design that utilizes nitrogen gas pistons rather than electricity, the Desktop Elevator is distributed throughout the United States and Canada by OiC Innovations.  More information is also available at
