Follow on Google News | Texas Phish Tribute Band to Play Colorado Phish AftershowThe texas Phish tribute band A Live One will be traveling to Colorado in its first tour to play several shows in the Denver area this September, including a Phish aftershow at Quixotes on Sunday, September 2, 2012.
By: A Live One Formed in late 2010 in Austin, TX, A Live One is already the region’s most requested Phish tribute band. The members of A Live One include Josh Pearson on guitar and Dan McGreevy on drums, both from the original band Moving Matter. On keyboards is Wesley Haynes of the J. Wesley Haynes Trio, and on bass is Michael Boyd, owner and founder of Sense & Color School of Music. A Live One covers a wide variety of Phish's material, as well as “Phantasy Phish,” or other artists’ material played in the way they think Phish would play it. Following Phish’s tradition of a musical costume every Halloween, A Live One performed Prince's album Purple Rain in its entirety on Halloween 2011 at Antone's Nightclub in Austin, TX, garnering rave reviews from fans. This September 2nd, A Live One will present this original event in Denver, CO, where Phish fans can unwind after the concert at Dick’s to the sounds of Prince, as well as the possibility of a few Phish numbers not played at the official concert that weekend. When: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND 11:30pm Where: Quixote's, 2150 Lawrence Street Denver, CO 80205 End
