Aug. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Jon Polenberg, a Partner with Polenberg Cooper, P.A., has been named “Outstanding Member of the Year” for the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar.  The Section conferred Polenberg with the annual award in recognition for his exemplary work in the field of business law and his contribution to the Business Law Section.  

“Specifically, the Section recognized me for working on amending the Florida Arbitration Code, which seeks to modernize the existing law in Florida for arbitration,” said Polenberg who has represented Florida businesses in cases critically important to their continued business operations.

Polenberg also recently received the highest peer rating of AV Preeminent in Commercial, Business and Litigation Law by Martindale-Hubbell. He was also named to the 2012 Florida SuperLawyers.

Before his career as an attorney, Polenberg successfully pursued a business management career, which has given him unique insight to the business challenges facing today’s companies.  As a result, Polenberg’s civil litigation practice involves business torts, class actions, construction, contracts, employment, fraud, insurance coverage, lender liability, and securities litigation. He has represented clients in matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies.

Polenberg earned a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law where he received the Order of the Coif award, graduating fifth in his class. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University.
