First OrthoScan Mini C-Arm sold to designated Trauma Unit – Great Western Hospital, Swindon

Aug. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The independent medical equipment supplier has provided the Orthopaedics department of the hospital's designated trauma unit for two regional Trauma Networks – the 'Severn' to the west and the 'Thames Valley' to the north east.

Trauma Networks are part of a national programme led by the Department of Health and Royal Colleges to improve the care of trauma patients in England. The development of these networks, which are focused around Major Trauma Centres, has been proven to save lives.

The extremely compact design of the ‘OrthoScan FD’ Mini C-Arm releases valuable space when used in the operating room and its lightweight frame offers great manoeuvrability and ease-of-movement when in clinical use. The OrthoScan FD’s flat panel direct digital image receptor replaces a traditional image intensifier and provides distortion-free images with very high spacial and contrast resolution. DICOM 3.0 connectivity allows images to be transferred rapidly to PACS for reporting and archiving.
