In an interpretation of our connection to the most powerful resource on earth, Bridgeport artist Yves Wilson connects us with art projection, "We Are Water" during this three month public art installation through City Canvases in Downtown Bridgeport.

Aug. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- In this fifth installment of Downtown Bridgeport's City Canvases FREE public art projection installation, we present Yves Wilson with "We Are Water" projecting on 1330 Main Street in Downtown Bridgeport at 8:30/9 pm on August 9th. Join the celebratory launch of Wilson's work with multiple types of infused flavored waters, interpretive dance and witness the connection in a larger than life screening with what we as humans have with the world's most valuable resource--water.

Wilson's, “We Are Water" is an interpretation of our connection to the most powerful resource on earth.  Dancer and performer Katrese Weaver will be interpreting this connection through interpretive dance inspired by African, modern, and jazz traditions.  A Read’s Artspace resident, Yves Wilson and his visual effects team, seeks to explore our strengths and vulnerabilities as people which is especially true for residents of coastal communities like Bridgeport and its neighbors who are intimately connected to changes in the climate both physically and mentally.  Electronic music producer and percussionist Cuban B will be providing the sound scape to the visuals on opening night.  "We Are Water" will be shown Thursday August 9th through Tuesday August 14th from 9-11 pm.
