OUR HISTORY

Central Texas Beauty College was established over 60 years ago in 1946 in Waco, Texas. Mr. Robert Painter has been Director and owner of Central Texas Beauty College since 1983. Mr. Painter opened a campus in Temple, Texas in 1984 and in Round Rock, Texas in 1991. Mr. Painter has been in the beauty business since 1940. Mr. Painter and his family continue to run Central Texas Beauty College today.

OUR STANDARDS

Central Texas Beauty College offers both Cosmetology and Manicuring courses. The courses at both campuses have been approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. CTBC is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS) and approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
   
OUR TEAM

Our educators want you to be ready for the salon and above all, confident! Each member of our academic team has extensive salon experience and wants you to know what to expect when you walk into a salon as a professional stylist. The instructors are able to provide the one-on-one attention necessary to identify your natural talents and fine-tune every aspect of your skill set. Our instructors not only love to teach, but they also love to learn and attend seminars and clinics to keep abreast of fashion-forward styles and cutting edge methods of teaching. Each campus currently employs 7 instructors.

OUR CURRICULUM

Central Texas Beauty College will teach you from the leading textbook of the Cosmetology profession, the Milady Textbook for Cosmetology. CTBC will furnish you with the most current version of these textbooks.

Our busy clinic floor provides LOTS of hands-on training as you are perfecting your skills. Your instructors are with you every step of the way. Excellence is achieved at Central Texas Beauty College.

Not only will you become a licensed Cosmetologist or Manicurist when you pass the State exam, but at Central Texas Beauty College, you will also have the opportunity to become certified as a skin care specialist, long hair specialist or hair color specialist, using a variety of high-end professional products for maximum marketability. You can be certified in these subjects by passing a proficiency exam given by Central Texas Beauty College after completing your training in these individual subjects. There is no additional charge for a certificate in these subjects. Your resume will be very impressive with these certificates included and will open the door to many of the best salons.

Central Texas Beauty College also offers a business development program, instructing you on everything from creating a resume to interviewing to effectively marketing your services in today’s age of technology. You will be taught methods and strategies to build a clientele and a professional portfolio, and above all, your bank account!
