Lalo’s in Oak Park Announces Big Changes

OAK PARK, IL – August 3rd, 2012 – A staple in Oak Park dining, Lalo’s, is announcing big changes to come. After over 30 years of serving the community as Lalo’s, Oak Park’s authentic Mexican restaurant is excited to announce they will soon be operating under a new name – Margaritas. Along with the new name will come a new look and feel, but the same great flavors and friendly service will remain.

“We’ve had many wonderful years in the Oak Park community with the pleasure of serving multiple generations of customers. My staff and I have developed so many meaningful relationships with our customers over the years, and we look forward to continuing this under our new name, Margaritas.” says Lalo’s of Oak Park owner, Rene Roman.

The reason for the name change? While operating under the franchise, Roman felt there were certain limitations on freedom and creativity in the kitchen. Many of the same dishes will continue to be available, but Roman is looking forward to spicing up the menu with new options – specifically more seafood dishes.

Margaritas anyone? Lalo’s is known for generous portions and enormous drinks that keep locals coming back for more.  This, along with the welcoming atmosphere, will never change. “In fact,” Roman comments, “everything will be pretty much the same. Only better.”

Roman is also embracing changes in technology and marketing and will be using social media to keep conversations going with his customers beyond the doors of his restaurant. He will also introduce a new mobile website and his own custom branded mobile app built specifically for Margaritas, which will feature special offers, contests and more.
