-- Roslindale, Massachusetts – Academic Studies Abroad (ASA), a study abroad provider with programs in Europe and Latin America, has announced a new partnership with Global Grins, a non-profit organization that provides travelers with boxes of toothbrushes to deliver to communities in need. In the past year, many ASA study abroad students have participated as members of the Delivery Squad, contributing to the nearly 270,000 toothbrushes that have been distributed worldwide. ASA students have brought boxes of toothbrushes to orphanages, health clinics, schools, and shelters in countries such as Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Ireland.
“Global Grins is a great organization and we are very excited to be assisting them in their mission to spread smiles around the world,” said ASA Director Lee Frankel. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with them and hope to deliver more toothbrushes this year than ever before. Our students report that giving back to their new communities is a rewarding experience, and feel proud to have done their part to help the less fortunate members of their host country.”
In the upcoming academic year ASA plans to send even more students abroad with boxes of toothbrushes. ASA and Global Grins believe that it is extremely important for all individuals to give back to communities that welcome them. Together they hope to bring brighter smiles to the world one toothbrush at a time.
