-- Expanding from our traditional nutrition courses the Institute of health sciences is proud to laugh a two year blended learning practitioner course which will be combining our Certificate in Dietary Counselling with our new course, Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching. This combination gives students a highly effective and unique set of skills ideally suited to the modern healthcare professional. We start by examining food form farm to fork and go through exactly how food is processed and nutritionally depleted and the negative effects this has on our health. Students will be shown how food, supplements, nutrients and lifestyle change can be used to counteract modern lifestyles.
Those who graduate from our Certificate in Dietary Counselling course can then try our Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching, which includes the latest evidence based behavioural change techniques and coaching skills including motivational interviewing, building an alliance with clients, understanding ‘readiness to change’, goal setting and planning, coaching in different healthcare settings and clinical practice.
We also include two further modules in entrepreneurship and stress management to ensure graduates are uniquely positioned to help clients prevent and manage the vast array of chronic illnesses associated with the modern lifestyles, whilst having the knowledge and skills required to ensure success career within this exciting healthcare arena.
