Jaclyn Stapp to Attend Screening of “Secret Millionaire” With Special Performance by Scott Stapp

Aug. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Miami, Fla. – National Voices for Equality, Education and Enlightenment (NVEEE) to host the 2nd Annual “Not On My Watch” Red Carpet VIP Reception on September 15, 2012 to celebrate their appearance on ABC’s “Secret Millionaire.”  NVEEE National Spokesperson, Jaclyn Stapp to attend, along with a special acoustic performance by husband, Grammy Award-winner, Scott Stapp, lead singer of Creed and author of his tell-all memoir, “Sinner’s Creed,” which will be released on October 2nd.

“I am proud to be a part of such an influential program,” said Jaclyn Stapp, spokeswoman for NVEEE, “As someone who grew up being bullied, I want to continue to express words of encouragement to others and send the message that bullying will no longer be tolerated. With the help of NVEEE, its volunteers, mentors and teens, the new anti-bullying programs have a winning chance, and now even more with the support of ABC’s “Secret Millionaire” TV show.”

As the national spokesperson for NVEEE, Jaclyn participates in their National PSA campaigns and has dedicated much of her time lately creating a girl-to-girl anti-bullying campaign for NVEEE in order to develop further prevention strategies and strong development campaigns with schools and the community. An award-winning children’s book author, Jaclyn shares her early struggles with bullying in her first children’s book, Wacky Jacky: The True Story of An Unlikely Beauty Queen. In this book her goal is to teach teens and children to take pride in who they are and where they come from, no matter who or what says otherwise.

“I proudly support my wife and NVEEE as they have been such an influential organization for children of all ages,” says husband Scott Stapp. “Bullying is a real issue and my family has been effected by it’s gripping arms at various times in our lives.”

At the “Not On My Watch” Red Carpet VIP Reception, NVEEE will welcome entertainers, celebrities, business leaders and elected officials to celebrate the premiere of ABC’s “Secret Millionaire.”  Special guests not only include NVEEE’s national spokespersons Jaclyn Stapp, author of Wacky Jacky and a private acoustic set by Grammy Award-winner Scott Stapp but Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child and other celebrity profiles will also be in attendance. The event will be held at Highbar, atop the new Dream Hotel in South Beach. The fundraiser will benefit the organization’s Bullying Prevention Program and as a special surprise, will be hosted by NVEEE’s Secret Millionaire, which officially airs on Sunday, August 5th at 8/7c PM on ABC.

“When I was approached to take part in a documentary about people helping others in the community, I would have never in a million years guessed it was for this amazing show,” said Jowharah Sanders, NVEEE’s Founder and Executive Director. “We are honored, humbled, and thankful to ABC and the Secret Millionaire for their generosity and support,” said Sanders.
