INTERVIEW:
Q: What technologies and tools do you see operators in Eastern Europe investing in over the coming 12 months?  How do you predict the Eastern European FTTx market will develop over the next year?
A: Operators will use a mix of technologies: FTTH (PON or P2P) + DSL + wireless depends on micro area situation, investment model and regulation aspect.
Networks will be built on national level with EU funds, Government and Municipality contributions.  Additionally, end-users will have to add a part of CAPEX. The Governments and Regulators will recognise that all networks should be open in order to satisfy majority needs.

Peter Lunar will be one of the exclusive speakers at FTTx Summit Eastern Europe 2012, being held in Budapest, from 18-21 September 2012.
