Aug. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- iGavel Auctions associate seller Nye & Company’s Fine & Decorative Arts Auction is now featured on www.iGavelAuctions.com through August 15, 2012. The Nye & Company auction comprises a collection of over 500 lots from the Greater New York area meant to appeal to the broad igavelauctions.com audience.

Included in the sale are highlights from a number of New York and New Jersey based estates. Of interest is a pair of porter’s chairs, a monumental Louis XV armoire and the long set of French-inspired dining chairs. There is also a Directoire style mahogany dining table, oversized Aubusson style carpets and a pair of Regency style mahogany bookcases. The brass-inset ebonized bureau plat is one of the featured lots.

Also included in the sale is an impressive collection of Rock ‘N’ Roll memorabilia, primarily focused on paintings, prints, photographs and broadsides from the Classic Rock era of the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. There is a fully autographed guitar by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Another guitar is autographed by Stephen Colbert and Peter Frampton. The sale also includes numerous photographs by Ken Regan, Paul Saltzman and Jim Marshall documenting the likes of the Beatles, Bob Dylan and The Who, respectively. Other works
depict Van Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and The Clash.

Other local collectors are offering lots of country Americana, such as antique and vintage paddles, lighting, furniture and a large array of 20th century lawn sprinklers. The Dutch Baroque carved oak tall case clock is not to be missed.

Nye and Company recently relocated to a new and expanded location at 20 Beach Street in Bloomfield, NJ, adjacent to the Garden State Parkway and 20 minutes west of New York City. “It is extremely exciting and encouraging to have finally found a building that is the perfect fit,” said John Nye.
