PRLog -- Inc. Magazine recently published an article written by Impulsa Business Accelerator CEO Fernando Sepulveda. The article, entitled “The Difference Between a Business Accelerator and Business Incubator?” demonstrates the similarities and differences between incubators and accelerators.
Sepulveda wrote that both incubators and accelerators provide guidance, mentorship, and support to developing businesses. However, accelerators are focused on helping established companies achieve rapid, sustained growth, while business incubators help entrepreneurs establish and develop their businesses. In addition, incubation programs may last for extended periods of time, whereas acceleration programs have more concrete, defined timespans.
He compared this difference to parenthood, with incubated companies representing infants and adolescents who are still developing, whereas accelerators guide companies through adolescence and into adulthood.
Sepulveda is the CEO and Founder of Impulsa Business Accelerator, a member of the National Business Incubation Association, and a member of the Inc. Business Owners Council.
