Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- After his tour in Iraq, Jim Burnett is making it his new mission to help children abroad  starting with an eye clinic in Haiti this October.   Jim recently opened a website, http://www.jimburnett.org , to help raise money and share his experiences helping children. Jim plans to help the His Vision Project as his first “personal mission”, renovating a building in Haiti to use as an eye clinic.

The Humbly I Serve Ministry has purchased a building in Cap Haitien, Haiti, to renovate with hopes of moving eye equipment in January. Once the equipment is installed and the eye clinic becomes operational,  Burnett plans to setup roaming satellite offices that can go to more rural areas. “This opens up opportunities to provide other basic care such as hygiene and other basic necessities to the areas out of reach of the clinic” says Burnett. “We’ll start off with sort of a base of operations and expand from there, that’s the idea at least”.

Jim got home from Iraq in late 2009 and now works as a data engineer for a wireless phone carrier out of Waynesboro Virginia. You can reach him via phone at 540-466-4116, email jim@jimburnett.org and you can donate by visiting his website, http://www.jimburnett.org.
