The switch provides IPv6 ready management, including IPv4/IPv6 dual protocol stack allowing IPv4 and IPv6 to co-exist in the same device, SNMP/HTTP over IPv6 for switch management, and IPv6 neighbor discovery for identifying other nodes’ existences. Furthermore, completed L2 features offer solutions to the needs from the boosting on-line social networks, including IEEE 802.1w and IEEE 802.1s for avoiding loops and ensuring faster recovery time from failed links, MRV for Media-on-Demand, and IGMP for limiting bandwidth intensive video traffic.

•Carrier Grade OAM function
OAM includes IEEE 802.1ga, IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T Y.1731. Being compliant to these protocols, ECS3510-28T enables carrier service providers to monitor and manage connectivity fault over multi-vendors and multi-carrier networks, and respond to any faults in a faster speed. Besides, G8032 ERPS provides ring protection and fast recovery within 50 seconds.
•Embedded with MEF Compliant Operation System
MEF compliant operation system allows ECS3510-28T to offering services that match Carrier Ethernet service requirements.
To provide port security, the ES3510-28T allows access to ports based on MAC address, limits the number of devices using a port, and protects against MAC flooding attacks. In addition, Access Control Lists (ACLs) can be used to restrict access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on source and destination MAC address, IP addresses, or TCP/UDP ports. The switch also supports private VLANS that can isolate edge ports.

Support SNMP-based management and offer a user-friendly web interface and a command line interface (CLI) for the advanced user.
