Post operative exercises in cardiac patients

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The post operative exercises , starts with mild breathing exercises with the support in the suture site and position changes on the bed , encouraged to sit in the bedside  chair and begin to do some self care activities.( Notes: All these exercises should perform under the supervision of the physical therapist and it is performed only by the low risk patients).

The second session of the post operative exercises starts when the patients reached the home and patient feels relaxes to do mild exercises. It begins with the slow walking for 3minutes inside home around living room initially with continues breaks and breathing exercises in-between. As became stronger start walking outroads.The walking should perform at least 3-4 times in week, for 15mins duration should continue until you reach 60 minutes during seventh week of your post surgery period.

After 7 weeks, the post operative exercise continues with the strengthening exercises of the limbs. This includes separate session for Upper and lower (i.e., hands& legs) extremities.

While doing post operative exercises you shouldn’t experiences shortness of breath, dizziness, unusual fatigue or chest pain. If it so stop doing exercises and concern the appropriate medical expertise.
