Vietnam to Host International Half Marathon

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Regional race organisers Sporting Republic have announced their next international running race to be held in Phan Thiet City, Vietnam. The Mui Ne Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 9th September 2012 and is expected to attract hundreds of runners locally and around the world.

The setting for the Mui Ne Half Marathon will be run on an elevated coastal highway overlooking the world famous beaches of Mui Ne, with the race beginning and ending at the luxurious Sea Links City. Participants will have the option of running one of three distances – the featured race is the 21km Half Marathon, whilst a 10km and 5km run will
also be offered.

“We are very excited to be working with Sea Links City to bring an international running event to Phan Thiet,” said David Shin of race organisers Sporting Republic. “Not only do they provide a beautiful venue for the weekend’s schedule, but also access to a tremendous race course. The highway is in excellent condition with minimal outside distractions, offers picturesque views of the sea and will prove to be a challenge for the runners.”

With Mui Ne Beach in Phan Thiet being one of Vietnam’s most popular holiday destinations and running events continuing to grow in popularity within South East Asia, the Mui Ne Half Marathon is poised to become one of Vietnam’s premier sporting events.
