July 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Audiobook Pop! has lowered the price on Audiobooks - Austen and Audiobooks - Sci-Fi.  Formerly $1.99, all Audiobook Pop! apps will now be priced at 99 cents.

Audiobook Pop! apps are curated from the best narrators from Librivox.org and themed into focused subjects: Audiobooks For Kids, Classic Science Fiction, Jane Austen Anthology. The next app, to be released in August 2012, will be Fairy Tales/Folk Tales from around the globe.

Audiobook Pop! prides itself on the value of its apps: Once you buy the app, the audiobooks are free. Dozens of hours of quality audiobooks for only 99 cents.

Audiobook Pop!  was founded in 2010 to provide a solution to the following three points of pain:
- buying audiobooks is expensive,
- owning, renting and borrowing CDs can be a hassle,
- being offered thousands of books by other apps is overwhelming.  

Audiobook Pop! curates its content so that there is minimal decision making, ease of use and affordability. Too much choice is not a good thing. The audio books are free to download, included with the cost of the app.

Boise mom and filmmaker, Elizabeth Rodgers, first had the vision for an audiobook app when she took a road trip with her family, including two young children. “There’s nothing wrong with watching DVDs on the road, but I’m determined to raise them as readers.”

The non-technical Rodgers partnered with Boisean designer and developer, Mazal Simantov. Together they architected the simplicity and intuitiveness of the app and Simantov created the elegant design. The keys to success were threefold: ease of use, great content, efficient user choice. In February 2011, the first app, Audiobooks For Your Kids, was launched.  

Once the original app had been established, Rodgers and Simantov received feedback from users that similar apps with different themes would be well received. To meet that demand, in Spring 2012, they released Audiobooks - Sci-Fi and chose three new themes: Jane Austen, Fairy Tales/Folk Tales and Bronte - what will be a Bronte Sisters anthology -- Anne, Emily and Charlotte.

Users can search through the selection of audiobooks by author, title, time, narrator or with a keyword search.  The app interface is intuitive and beautiful.

Audiobook Pop! chooses only the best-narrated audiobooks from Librivox. Available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Android coming this Fall.
