Better to look on the bright side. What you believe (true or false) invariably comes true

If you believe that you don’t have a choice in life and that life invariably deals you a raw deal; then a raw deal is what you’ll get. You’ll do well to look on the bright side of circumstances, events and life. What have you got to lose?

July 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Some people believe that no matter what the difficulty or stress they face, a favourable solution awaits and will unfold. Some people accept a negative outcome because they expect nothing better. Then there are those who have the attitude that says, what will be will be. What outcomes do you generally anticipate?
If you want to live life to the fullest and believe you can benefit from the most that each day has to offer, don’t be surprised if that’s exactly what you experience. If you believe that you don’t have a choice in life and that life invariably deals you a raw deal; then a raw deal is what you’ll get. If you believe that your circumstances are at the whim of fate, then that’s the life of your own choosing.
Life abounds with the harmonious, the unexpected, and with contradictions. We live with these realities. However, our attitudes, opinions and beliefs can move us in the direction of the opportunities, the surprises, and the difficulties life delivers.  In the affairs of humans, what you believe (true or false) invariably comes true because you subconsciously and consciously act in ways that cause the event or events to happen.
If you believe your boss wants to get you fired then you’ll act in ways that create tensions between the both of you. You’ll act in ways that erode the relationship of confidence and trust between boss and subordinate. Then, what you believe could well happen. All of this is not said to deny reality, but to suggest that there’s a more pleasing way to live than to emphasis the negative or unfavourable, or to take the gloomiest possible view in life. You can impact your present and future by your choices and live a more contented life. Or, you can have an attitude of resignation in the face of some future events which you think are inevitable – with you being powerless to do anything - other than what you actually do.
You’ll do well to look on the bright side of circumstances, events and life. What have you got to lose? What joy or success can come from for example, submitting an application for a job and holding negative thoughts about your chances or not expecting any successful outcome?
There is a significant difference in satisfaction for those with fulfilled expectations, unfulfilled expectations or passive disinterest. And people with these postures have differing quality of life - based on their expectations. Yes, things might not always work out exactly as you want. Yes, there might be some disappointments when things take longer than you expected - or just don’t come to pass. But if you look on the bright side of life, more often than not, you’ll attract all that is good.
My sincerest best wishes
