Franco Baresi becomes a Golden Foot legend

July 30, 2012 - PRLog -- On October 17, former AC Milan and Italy legendary defender Franco Baresi will leave the footprints on the Champions Promenade in Monte Carlo, as one of the greatest champions ever.

The organizers of the international career award "Golden Foot" will reward him as a legend of world football, first Italian defender after Giacinto Facchetti, awarded in 2006.

Considered as one of the greatest central defenders of all time, Baresi won the FIFA World Cup 1982 in Spain, being finalist too in the 1994 in the USA. He totally collected more than 80 caps with Italy. Playing for AC Milan, he won six league titles, three European Cups, two Intercontinental and several other trophies.
