Grain Market of Caspian and Volga Region

July 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Saratov, Russia: The Ministry of Agriculture of Saratov Region in order to expand sales markets and consolidate international relations of Privolzhskiy Federal District and other regions of Russia announces  the International forum «Grain Market of Caspian and Volga Region». The dates and venue: August 27-29, 2012, Volzhskie Dali Hotel, Saratov, Russia.

Agriculture plays the key role in the region's economy. It takes about 15% of region's gross product. Saratov region is in the top ten regions of Russia in terms of agricultural gross production. There are 500 agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership, 370 food and processing enterprises, 164 agricultural and consumers cooperatives, 7300 farms and 290 private farm households which in total represent the agriculture of Saratov region.

The government support. Businessmen who do business in Russia know it is very hard to do it successfully without an approvement from local authorities, like anywhere else. The Governor of Saratov region, Valery Radaev, and the Minister of agriculture of Saratov region, Ivan Baboshkin, will be present at the forum and this is a good opportunity to meet them in person and to have some preliminary negotiations.
