Jaipur: Rays Celebrates Its Second Anniversary

A cultural event was organised at Inderlok auditorium, Jaipur today to mark the second year celebration of Rays (Aasha Ki Ek Kiran) an NGO. The chief guest of the evening was Jyoti Khandelwal, Mayor of Jaipur and the guest of honour was Princess Diya Kumari who is also a Patron member.

Rays (Aasha Ki Ek Kiran) is an NGO started in 2010 by like minded people who wanted to give back to the society in their own special way. We run a home for HIV+ kids that started with 3 children and we are very happy to report that this number has increased to 25. From looking after their food, clothing, education, entertainment we also ensure that they get proper medication and a healthy environment to live in and above all the love and attention. All these children attend regular schools along with various hobbies to enhance their skills.

The children presented a dance skit to highlight the joy of having a positive attitude in life and to live life each day the way it comes. Mrs. Rashmi, Secretary of Rays informed that AIDS is not a disease that could be spread by staying, playing, eating together. They are just like any other children who need love, affection, care and support. Mrs. Sumitra Pandit the patron member gave the welcome speech.
