Defence IQ reaches 60,000 members
Defence IQ, the military and defence news portal, has this week reached the milestone of 60,000 members.
So far, 2012 has already been a record breaking year for Defence IQ with the addition of 10,000 new subscribers in the first half of the year alone, together with a rapidly growing global readership. This growth has come through a series of firsts for Defence IQ; in May the portal was among the first to report on the UK’s F-35 decision and the first to interview UK Defence Minister Peter Luff on these plans. More recently, Defence IQ has launched the Defence IQ Blogging Awards, which saw nomination from over 40 defence and industry bloggers, and launched the quarterly Defence IQ Review.
Andrew Elwell, Editor, Defence IQ said: “It’s great to see a surge in members signing up to Defence IQ. I would like to thank all our members for making the portal the success it is today. So far 2012 has been a great year for the portal but there is still much more to come from Defence IQ as we continue to build our contributor base and increase our coverage of military and defence issues.”
Defence IQ’s news and analysis portal provides commentary and analysis on the industry’s top stories as well as allowing members the opportunity to get involved among the online community by building their own online profiles and offering their opinion on popular stories. Additionally, Defence IQ allows community members to assist each other by posting solutions to frequently asked questions and contributing to the editorial calendar.
