This investment of 6.1 million shillings will be used to bolster company operations and help establish the company's social business platform to reach local farmers. Faith Might was formed in 2010 and is led by founding principal, Lydia Idem.

Lydia Idem Finkley is a recognized foreign exchange trader who has been featured in Forbes Magazine and CNNMoney. By adding UMPG to its portfolio, Faith Might shifts focus to companies beyond its borders.

"We are very proud to invest in UMPG. The company's social business emphasis and growth in Uganda's agribusiness sector is in line with our focus on supporting and cultivating businesses with local impact in pan-African communities," says Lydia.

Social businesses use entrepreneurial principles to organize, create and manage a venture to achieve a desired social change. The social entrepreneur measures positive returns to society in addition to profit and return.
