July 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Camping enthusiasts and holiday makers wanting to make a quick getaway can do no better than the Etesian 4 from Wild Country Tents.

Suitable for weekends away, shorter camping trips and bike touring, the family tent is simple and quick to pitch, making it ideal for all, from camping veterans to first-timers.

Although lightweight and compact when packed, the four person tent does not compromise on space once pitched, offering the privacy and comfort of a traditional family tent.

Features include plenty of headroom and an ample porch, in which the sewn in groundsheet cleverly zips back for storing muddy boots and drying wet gear.  A porch extension is also available separately for those who would like the option of adding extra space.

The tent is also designed to stand firm against the elements, with a tried and tested, high performance, fully-taped flysheet and Superflex T6 alloy poles to maintain strength and ensure durability.

The Etesian 4 was launched this year by Wild Country Tents, a sister brand of the world renowned outdoor specialists Terra Nova.

Carolyn Budding, a director of Wild Country, said: “Our Etesian ranges are designed to be freestanding, stable tents that are lightweight, spacious and easy to pitch.

“They benefit from the latest technical specifications in tent design and the result is a well-ventilated, comfortable and durable tent that is perfect for shorter trips when a traditional, larger family tent is not always necessary.

“This range is primarily for short getaways, whether that’s for experienced outdoor enthusiasts or a last minute family holiday on a sunny weekend. They can be easily put into a car boot and still leave room for luggage.”

A video on how to pitch the Etesian 4 is available to view at Wild Country’s YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/user/WildCountryTents

The Etesian range is available in a variety of models. Priced at £330, the Etesian 4 Tent is available to buy direct from Terra Nova Equipment at http://www.terra-nova.co.uk/Brand/Wild_Country/Tents/Etes... or for local stockists see www.terra-nova.co.uk

Notes To Editors

Wild Country provides robust, trusted tents for families and backpackers that are designed to stand the test of time.

Wild Country’s headquarters are located in Derbyshire, in the Amber Valley.

Wild Country is one of a group of companies led by husband and wife team Andy  Utting and Carolyn Budding, including the world-renowned Terra Nova Tents, the children’s clothing retailer Little Terra – and the high performance Extremities® range of gloves, mitts, socks, hats, gaiters and other accessories.

This year, Wild Country Tents completed an all-weather trial of its Citadel 5 tent. Pitched in a field in the Peak District in October 2011, the tent was still standing more than half a year later when the tent was taken down in June 2012.

During this time the tent endured temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, more than eight inches of snowfall in one day, gale force winds and the wettest April on record for over a century – without maintenance. See the video at www.youtube.com/user/WildCountryTents
