Former Night Club Manager Opens New Humboldt Park Breakfast Hot Spot
Humboldt Park, Chicago, Illinois – July 24, 2012 – Former night club manager, Second-City comedian opens adds new spice to Humboldt Park with Grandma J's Local Kitchen.
“I love the night life, but am more passionate about cooking up locally-grown food from my family farm,” said Layla. “Although, we do like to pretend it's a BYOB bar, with our mimosa and bloody mary spreads, and what we've come to know as 'Champagne Sundays!'”

Guests can check out the photo-adorned walls and munch on freebie fruit plates while sitting at one of the six cozy vzmkg tables, or the house-dubbed “VIP Bar,” waiting for their food to be prepared.
With locally grown ingredients, good prices and great ambiance, the recently opened spot is sure to become a neighborhood favorite.
