July 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Oakland, CA (July 22, 2012)- The Bay Area Ambassadors (Ambassadors) will compete in the national playoffs for the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) this weekend. One team from each conference will be represented in the four-team playoff. The teams are the Ambassadors from the West Conference, Chattanooga FC from the South Conference, FC Sonic from the Northeast Conference, and a team to be determined from the Midwest Conference. The playoff will be held at Del Norte High School in San Diego, CA. Two semi-final games will be played Friday July 27th, a third place game on July 28th, and the final on July 29th.

The Ambassadors reached the national playoffs after defeating their conference rival’ Sonoma County Sol (Sol). The Ambassadors were the victor in their ibtas fourth and most important meeting of the season. The Ambassadors defeated the Sol 4-1 behind two goals from Emrah Klimenta.

Throughout the playoffs, the Ambassadors have been very strong offensively, scoring seven goals in two games. They will look to continue his scoring outburst while ramping up their defensive efforts. The Ambassadors have allowed three goals in two games, so they will need to improve as they face tougher competition next weekend.
