-- Norcross, GA, July 18, 2012 – Logical Soul LLC announces that its founder and CEO, Dr. Michael Craig, is hopping on a unicycle on August 17th, 2012 and riding 60 miles in one day for charity. This 60-mile jaunt comes on the same month Dr. Craig turns 60 years old, and is part of a year-long goal of reaching 1000 miles before December 31st.
Michael Craig is riding for The Himalayan Children’s Charities (HCC), a non-profit organization set up by Bruce and Susan Keenan in Atlanta to send 100% of the proceeds to an orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr. Craig’s riding raised several hundred dollars last year and he’s looking to attract more and larger donations for 2012.
So far, Craig has logged over 520 miles in his quest – mostly during short trips around his local park, and up and down Big Creek Greenway, a favorite North Atlanta bike and walking trail. He keeps track of his mileage using a wired odometer on his “Uni” and takes videos of his trips throughout the year to post on a video blog site. Donations are also accepted on this site, through a direct PayPal link to the HCC charity’s account.
