Dirk Janssens goes "Back in Wonderland" in L.A.
From New York, to Belgium and now Los Angeles, Dirk Janssens marked new territory, with his opening of Back in Wonderland at BOA Gallery.
Dirk and his Wonderland were warmly received by the communities of Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and the country of Belgium via Belgian Television.
Among the celebrities to attend were California natives actress/director Shari Belafonte, actor Sam Behrens, actress Astrid Bryan and her husband A. John A. Bryan Jr. and The Consul General Geert Criel.
Back in Wonderland will premiere on Belgian Television this October just prior to Janssens' next exhibition of work to appear in the upcoming BAH (Belgian Art House ).
BOA Gallery overflowed as the crowds were taken in by the wonderful sentiment of the artist. Back in Wonderland featured Janssens' latest work, I Will Always Love You, and was also the American debut of his solid gold sculpture titled "Stay Gold" with security on guard.
Prominent photographer Laszlo was on hand to record this auspicious moment. Janssens’ opening proved unique among Los Angeles galleries as crowds were constant for the entire opening.
Dirk Janssens' Back in Wonderland will be on display through July 30th at the Bob Ore Art Gallery, 8459 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, CA .
