Canamara releases “The Beauty in Pain” to rave reviews

Hit single “Romance is Gone” is their lead single because it signifies their first song in the lineup setting the stage for what I would call the bet set of songs I’ve heard in a long time.

July 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Canamara was born in the beginning of 2010 through efforts of their lead singer, Jim Gilligan who was determined to break away from New Jersey’s cover band/hardcore music scene.  Jim set out to align himself with like-minded musicians in the effort to create music reminiscent of bands from the past that have made impacts on the music world.  I ode to those greats groups, Canamara has created in incredible mark of their own making their own special blend of progressive rock.  Their music has been known to pull on the heart strings of their audience members.  The music and the lyrics are sincere, sometimes rough and sometimes not so rough, but one thing that they are is the real thing.

Canamara had initially recorded 2 EP’s; the first is a self-titled EP which was released in December 2010.  Shortly after its released Canamara began lining up shows across New Jersey opening for bands such as Egypt Central, Kopec,as well as Cold.  In November 2011, they went back to the studio to begin the creation process.  This time around, they had collaborative efforts from rock icon, Joey Z of Life of Agony to record their upcoming sophomore EP, “The Beauty in Pain” which began as a 5 song EP eventually blossomed into an 11 song full length CD.  In January, 2012, production was completed and  getting  amazing reactions upon its release.

Canarama chose their hit single “Romance is Gone” as their lead single because they thought it was appropriate as it signifies their first song in the lineup setting the stage for what I would call the bet set of songs I’ve heard in a long time. This particular song does not carry any hidden message.  It signifies the absence or loss of a romantic relationship and all of the different emotions, negative or positive, that comes along with it.  You cannot compare or compete with the loss of a loved one with anything else that happens in your life. Each experience is different for every individual.

Canamara members share similar influences and have a wide and diverse musical influences.  From heavy melodic guitar riffs to melodic ballads and vocals that jump out at you from the onset has become a signature brand of Canamara.  They have an incredible diversity in their songs and so relatable that they are enjoyed by audiences from all genre’s.  There is something for everyone.  This makes them relatable and memorable.
