Rap Duo Blaq Diamondz Scheduled to Compete for BET’s 106 & Park Hip-Hop Allstar Championship

July 18, 2012 - PRLog -- New Dallas Rap duo Blaq Diamondz, are heading back to the BET 106 & Park stage to compete for the coveted grand prize during its Wild Out Wednesday All-Star Championship on August 21st, 2012.

The competition which is sponsored by Coca-Cola will bring new artists together once more to compete for a chance to win $5,000.

Since 2008, Antonio aka “Tonio” and Amber who goes by “Amboogie” have been flexing their music muscle, with Tonio as a producer and Amboogie as an experienced DJ--carving out the Blaq Diamondz signature sound. They grabbed the attention of industry heavyweights, music executives and Hip-Hop enthusiasts after performing the crowd moving anthem “Betta Get Low” and winning as “FINALISTS” for the “Wild Out Wednesday” competition in October 2011.

This appearance has catapulted the careers of this multi-talented duo, making them a highly sought opening act. Now with over 13,000 fans on Twitter in support of the Blaq Diamondz movement, their Southern Hip-Hop/Pop sound, is taking them to stages across the country. They have opened for big names like J Holiday, Souljaboy, B-5 and fellow Texas artists Lil KeKe and Swisha Houses’ own DJ Michael “5,000” Watts.

Additional opportunities for the group to showcase their talent came courtesy of Blaze the Stage-Spring Invitational which took place in Venice Beach, California on May 19th, 2012 and the School Tour which carried them to high schools across Southern California, performing a number of tracks from their self-titled album.
