July 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf course at World of Golf Sidcup will play host to the BMGA British Matchplay Championships on Sunday 22nd July. Tee-off will be at 9am with the daylong tournament seeing 32 players challenge for the title. Greenhithe’s Sean Homer will be looking to retain the title and make it three wins in-a-row in the tournament following victories in Worthing and Bluewater in 2010 and 2011.

Places are still available for challengers and entry costs £20 for adults (£10 for juniors). All of the matches will be contested on the Explorers Course at the Lost Island Encounter. Players will initially be drawn into groups of four, taking on each player in their respective groups in a round robin league format, with each match taking place over a maximum of 18 holes. After the group stages are complete, the top players from the groups will go forward to contest the top 16 places in a knockout tournament with the rest of the players competing for places 17-32.
