Washington, D.C. Hosts First Incentive Industry Summit IMA Event Brings Industry Leaders to Nation’s Capital

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- NAPERVILLE, Ill., July 16, 2012 – For the first time in the event’s 13-year history, The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) will host its Executive Summit, “Leading in the New Economy,” in Washington, D.C., July 29-31. The annual conference for incentive industry leaders will feature more than twenty-five business experts and thought leaders who will offer perspectives on the political, economic, cultural challenges and opportunities impacting the incentive marketplace in the new economy.

Among the powerful lineup will be a keynote address on The Myths of Leadership and Innovation by Scott Berkum, author of three bestselling books, Making Things Happen, The Myths of Innovation and Confessions of a Public Speaker. Berkum’s background also includes experience at Microsoft and contributions to a variety of media including: The New York Times, Forbes, The Washington Post, Harvard Business Review, Business Week and MSNBC.

Customer, Global Economic and Political Trends Impacting Incentive Sales will be the focus of a special breakfast session featuring German-based BONAGO Incentive Marketing Group CEO Mark Gregg, CEO,  USMotivation President Tina Weede, and Incentive Federation Attorney Jim Miller.

In addition, leaders from the Global Incentive Council, Incentive Federation, Incentive Gift Card Council, Incentive Manufacturers & Representatives Alliance, IMA-Europe Council, Incentive Research Foundation, Incentive Travel Council, Motivation Show Team, Performance Improvement Council (PIC) and Recognition Council will share views on a range of incentive topics.

IMA Summit Chair Mike Arvelo believes that this year’s conference will provide attendees with important insights on how the state of affairs in the nation impacts the incentive business.
