The World of Faeries Festival Magic Lives

July 15, 2012 - PRLog -- South Elgin, IL (August 2013) - The World of Faeries is proud to host its annual World of Faeries Festival in the Fox Valley area which will open on Saturday and Sunday, August 3rd and 4th, 2013. The World of Faeries is a business founded and operated by Gloria and David Yaeger in Crystal Lake. The Yaegers were inspired after traveling to the oldest fairy festival in the country at Spoutwood Farm, Glen Rock, PA. We wanted to create a festival right here in the Midwest.

This annual weekend festival willl include music, fun, food and frivolity for fairy lovers and fantasy lovers, young and old, in Vasa Park (home of Scandanavian Days) right next to the Fox River, main gate on Route 31, (35W217 Route 31) in South Elgin, IL.

The website shows our Music and Entertainment lineup this year.

We encourage everyone to come dressed to fit the "fantasy" theme and enter the park in the spirit of magic and leave your "grown up" at home. This is a family friendly event with lots for families to do. There is also a vendor village showcasing fairy and fantasy crafts.

We will open 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, Rain or Shine.  We are conveniently located on Route 31, South Elgin just minutes from U.S. 20 and 7 miles south of I-90 and 5 miles north of Route 64.  Also East West access via Silver Glen Road and Big Timber Road via Randall Road.

Admission is $11 per person, $8 seniors, 12 and under are Free, discounts offered too online and free parking for all.
