PROjEN Boosts Workforce in On-Going Growth Programme
PROjEN PLC, the specialist engineering project management company is celebrating after boosting its workforce by more than 15 per cent as part of its on-going recruitment campaign.
The privately-owned company which is based in Preston Brook, Cheshire, has bucked the effects of the current economic climate by taking on even more talent to help it meet the demands of new and existing contracts. And the success story doesn’t end there; PROjEN is on target to further increase its employee numbers by a further 15 per cent over the next few months.
PROjEN has a sound working relationship with many blue chip clients across the UK and beyond, including GlaxoSmithKline, Cabot, Akzo Nobel and Smith & Nephew. Scheduled work from these clients in addition to fresh work from PROjEN’s new BioEnergy Division has driven the recent recruitment process.
Many of the new roles will be based at the company’s Preston Brook site and others will be within client premises. PROjEN has a strong mix of project managers and project engineers who are supported by process, mechanical and electrical, control and instrumentation (E, C & I) design engineers and the new positions will be distributed across all disciplines.

However, the success of our new services in legislation compliance, factory relocation services and our new BioEnergy division, particularly anaerobic digestion and biogas facilities, has given us additional growth opportunities and helped us secure a healthy order book well into 2013.”
In addition to the recent project wins, PROjEN has enjoyed success across a number of other areas. In 2011 the company secured its tenth consecutive Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Award for Health and Safety performance and this year it will build on its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation by applying for OHSAS 18001. PROjEN has also spread its wings overseas and successfully completed works in Holland, Italy, Nigeria and is currently in discussions regarding potential new work in the Middle East.
