-- In response to requests from its subscribers, WTiN last year started work on developing a group of online information products which provide analysis of changing costs throughout the textile supply chain and which identify the factors likely to affect those costs moving forward. The latest in the new range of products, WTiN Market Data, has recently been launched.
WTiN Market Data is an online database storing a range of costs incurred through the textile production chain, including benchmark prices for fibre, yarn and fabric, from a range of geographical locations. A simple search process allows subscribers to specify the type of cost required and the country of origin, as well as the currency and time period desired. Subscribers can save favourite searches and set their account to receive email alerts when new prices of interest are added.
WTiN Market Data is a powerful business tool, facilitating in-house research and analysis of current and historical time series in key textile and clothing cost areas. Matt Robinson, WTiN’s Price Analyst, contends that, “the volatility of fibre, yarn and fabric prices in recent years has increased the importance for manufacturers and buyers throughout the supply chain to make informed and timely business decisions. We created WTiN Market Data to empower decision makers in textile businesses and to help them manage their market risk.”http://markets.wtin.com/
