The Wireless Information Network (WIN) is a MDC system (Machine Data Collection System), enabling users to centrally monitor and evaluate machines.
By: More Control UK Ltd Machines where there was not any previous network capabilities can now be integrated into networks via the WERMA WIN systems. WERMA Wireless Information Network (WIN) Main Advantages of WIN • Central monitoring of a wide range of different machines via PC • Reduction of reaction times and costs • Increased productivity and efficiency • No additional wiring • Transmission range of up to 300 m (unobstructed line of sight) • Every slave simultaneously functions as a "repeater", enabling the transmission range to be significantly increased • Relevant machine information at a glance (e.g. downtime) Centralised Machine Monitoring WERMA WIN systems can be easily installed via a “plug & play” installation process. This straightforward installation allows users to centrally monitor machines (whether temporarily or permanently) WERMA WIN systems use the 868 MHz frequency band and have a transmission range of 300m (unobstructed line of sight). Indoor transmission range maybe less depending on the characteristic of the building. As every slave simultaneously functions as a “repeater” Enhanced Software for Monitoring & Analysing Machine Operating Statuses With the WERMA supplied software, users can wirelessly monitoring machinery by simply glancing at their PC. Users can search for faults and analyse the operating status, raising operational efficiency and productivity of machines. A simply display interface enables intuitive operation & monitoring. The status descriptions of the signal elements can be defined & customised in the WERMA software to suit the application needs. e.g tier one “Machine in Operation”, tier two “Retool”, tier three “Fault.” http://www.more- The WERMA software displays the status of the signal towers integrated into the wireless network. Users can specify which machine data they monitor and evaluate. A range of different analysis and monitoring modules are available, such as failure analysis over time, downtime per machine. WERMA PC software can be quickly and easily installed to guide users through the individual aspects required to setup a wireless information network. WERMA All inclusive WIN Complete Kit The WERMA all inclusive kit “WIN Complete” allows users to immediately start monitoring up to three machines. In order to get the kit functioning, users just need to mount the signal towers from the kit onto their machines. After the installation of the WERMA software onto a PC, users can immediately start monitoring the status of their machines. Each of the pre-configured signal towers has three LED permanent lights in red, yellow and green, as well as a WIN slave and a base with integrated tubing for mounting. The WERMA WIN Complete kit can be expanded to up to fifty slaves per network. The WERMA kit also contains a WIN master, a USB cable, handbook and PC software. The WIN master, equipped with a small antenna is positioned on the wall or nearby to the PC (connected via a USB cable). WERMA WIN System (KOMBISIGN 70 und 71) With the WERMA WIN system, users have even greater choice of monitoring their machines. The WIN System Kit consists of a WIN master including software, USB cable and three pre-configured WIN slaves. The WERMA WIN Slaves are distributed among existing WERMA signal towers, which need to be monitored. Further WIN Slaves can be added and a range of WERMA KombiSIGN products can be added to allow users to customize audible elements, different light effects, colours and mounting options. The WERMA WIN System allows up to four different machines states per machine to be monitoring and can be expanded of up to fifty slaves per network.
