Follow on Google News | New Academic Session Commences at IMIInternational Management Institute (IMI) based in Qutab institutional Area, Delhi has commenced its new academic session 2012-13 with a total of 280 students across its 4 post graduate management programmes
By: Partha Das Students joining these programmes took part in a special two day orientation programme to acclimatise them with the institute before the commencement of regular classes. They had a structured interaction with faculty members and senior students. The interaction was not restricted to just the structured schedule during the day but continued late into the evening over a dinner hosted by the Director General, Dr. Pritam Singh. About IMI Established in 1981 with the support of IMI, Geneva (now IMD Lausanne), IMI is India's first corporate sponsored B-School. Besides a regular post-graduate two-year diploma programme in Business Management (PGDM)and Human Resource Management (PGDM-HR), the institute also conducts a 15- month Executive Post Graduate Diploma programme in Management (Executive PGDM) for middle-level managers with a minimum of five years’ working experience and a three-year PGDM (Part-Time) programme for working executives. In 2010, the institute also started a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). With the parent institute in Delhi and campuses in Bhubaneswar and Kolkata, IMI has grown from strength to strength with an eclectic mix of quality faculty. International linkages with leading B-schools in countries such as the US, Canada, Italy, France and Belgium give the students the required international exposure and a global understanding of the corporate world. The institute has been ranked as the best management institute with excellent placement and industry interface by Times Research Media, sixth among private B-schools in India by Outlook, eighth overall by CNBC TV18 in Indian B-School Rankings and always featured among the top six private B-schools with respect to its Intellectual Capital.
