Encinitas, CA, July 11, 2012—Seaside Rackets, a family-owned racket sporting goods wholesaler and specialty retailer with a 26-year history, has expanded its retail business to a new, larger location at 1343 Encinitas Blvd. in Encinitas, Calif.
The new store, which opened in May 2012, features 2,100 square feet of retail space—more than double the size of Seaside’s previous store on Coast Highway 101 in Cardiff-by-the-
The Encinitas store is located in the same shopping center as the Encinitas Sprouts Market, at the southwest corner of Encinitas Blvd. and El Camino Real. It features ample free parking and is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Seaside Rackets’ expansion marks the latest chapter in its long San Diego history. Owned by husband-and-
“Our customer base has increased tremendously in recent years, and we clearly had outgrown our Cardiff location,” says Mike Walker, owner and founder of Seaside Rackets. “Our new store in Encinitas provides a more convenient location for our retail customers, with plenty of parking and more room to stock a larger inventory.”
In addition, Seaside Rackets will be the on-site vendor/stringer at the WTA 2012 Mercury Insurance Open at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, July 16-22, 2012. This will be the eighth year that the company has operated the booth for Yonex, the tournament’s official racket sponsor.
The Cardiff location will close at the end of summer 2012.
