Free Panel on Social Media and Security at Home and Work

The no-charge event is open to the community and it is part of a new Social Media Series hosted by Harrisburg University during 2012-2013. The University will present a free panel discussion each month addressing a social media topic.
 
July 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Harrisburg University of Science and Technology will present a free panel discussion, Social Networking Sites: Safety & Security Risks at Home and the Office, on Thursday, September 13th.

The no-charge event is open to the community and it is part of a new Social Media Series hosted by Harrisburg University during 2012-2013. The University will present a free panel discussion each month featuring authors, academics and other leaders addressing a social media topic.

The Safety & Security Risks at Home and the Office event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, September 13th in the Auditorium.

The panel is scheduled to include:

Nikki Junker, Social Media Coordinator of the Identity Theft Resource Center, a non-profit organization established to support victims of identity theft in resolving their cases, and to broaden public education and awareness in the understanding of identity theft.

Shannon Tulloss earned her California private investigator license in 1997 and is the owner of Shannon Tulloss investigations in California. She began her investigative career as a claims adjuster over 20 years ago working for large insurers. She is a wife, mother of two teens that she home schools, college graduate, conference speaker and foodie that is known for frequent volunteering and Tweeting. Named as one of the top P. I.'s to follow on Twitter, you may find her Tweets enjoyable since they are terribly informative and are not always investigation related.

Chuck K. Davis, III, MSIA, CISSP-ISSAP teaches Ethical Hacking and Computer Forensics classes for Harrisburg University. Chuck is a Senior Security Architect at a Fortune 500 company and previously worked as a Security Operations Manager for IBM. Mr. Davis holds the CISSP and ISSAP certifications from (ISC)2. He co-authored two books on the subject of security, holds three patents and has four published invention disclosures. He has been a speaker at numerous security conferences and was a featured guest speaker a Hacker Halted Conference in Mexico City.
