Independent Grape Growers of Paso Robles Announces Scholarship Winners at Social on August 18
IGGPRA will grant two incoming Cal Poly viticulture students scholarships of $3,000 each
The two scholarships, in the amount of $3,000 each, will be awarded to two newly graduated high school students pursuing a degree in viticulture or a related field at Cal Poly. The newly launched IGGPRA Scholarship Program furthers IGGPA’s mission “…to promote and advance the success of the Paso Robles wine growing region,” says IGGPRA Board President Tom Hinkle, “and what better way to work toward an even brighter future for our appellation than to support aspiring winemakers and grape growers”
The IGGPRA social will provide trip-tip and chicken legs, and members and guests are asked to bring table set-ups, chairs, wine and wine glasses and a dish to share (according to last name). Guests and growers are encouraged to bring wines for the tasting table and offer the opportunity to sample local wines that may not be commercially available. Members attend for FREE and can bring one guest. Additional guests are only $5.00 and the general public is welcome for $10.00 per person.
Reservations to the Social are required and can be made by contacting Elizabeth Torp at (805) 226-8293, or online using the RSVP link at www.pasorobleswinegrapes.com. Heaven Can Wait Equine Sanctuary is located at 6275 Cerros Pioneros Way, San Miguel CA 93451.
