FlexTEL, Canada's Leading UCC Provider, Fortifies Leadership Team
FlexTEL announced today announced that Rishi Patel has been promoted to Vice President, FlexTEL Cloud Services. Patel will lead FlexTEL’s product development, marketing, business development and operational initiatives.
Having worked on FlexTEL since its inception, Patel brings an extensive history of sales leadership and broad experience in technical and communications management. Patel will lead FlexTEL’s product development, marketing, business development and operational initiatives with a focus on expanding its market penetration across North America.
“Since 2005, we have enjoyed great success in the area of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) both in our traditional project-based business (Architect, Build, Implement & Transfer) and our service platform (UCCaaS),” said Peter Stavropoulos, president and CEO of FlexITy. “Industry research indicates that 1/3 of all businesses are ready to adopt a UCCaaS model – presenting a truly disruptive option to traditional telecom service providers based on today’s customer requirements.”
Gartner and IDC have reported that UCC spending has outpaced all other areas of technology investment. Organizations looking to migrate from a legacy infrastructure to the Cloud, or those who have made the transition to UC in the Cloud but are looking to extend their investment into Collaboration, are driving the increased levels of consumption.
Mr. Stavropoulos continued, “Rishi has an outstanding track-record of building strong customer relationships and developing successful sales strategies that focus on delivering win-win partnerships and high-value customer solutions. In addition, Rishi’s experience in the communications industry will continue to contribute to FlexTEL’s overall product and sales strategy. With the launch of FlexTEL’s UCCaaS offering, and continued success in our portfolio of traditional Unified Communications solutions - sales and overall leadership from a seasoned executive like Rishi will be instrumental in achieving the next phase of FlexITy’s growth.”
FlexITy has expanded its market share over the past several years, becoming one of Canada’s fastest growing IT service providers and receiving accolades from its strategic partners, including being named as Cisco’s 2011 North American Vertical Partner of the Year for their outstanding work in the healthcare field and the Global Collaboration Partner of the Year – as the only Canadian Partner receiving a global award.
“It’s an exciting time to lead FlexTEL and my involvement with the firm over the past several years has been nothing short of fantastic,” said Patel. “We are ready to take advantage of this unique market opportunity and leverage our partner’s appetite to do the same. Of course, our traditional project-based business will continue to grow; however, we believe FlexTEL can be a truly disruptive offering and I’m looking forward to leading the brand’s next phase of success.”
